Abdul Jaleel Edathil
Founder & Chairman, Meralda Jewels
With nearly three decades of experience in the jewellery industry, Jaleel has developed a deep understanding of jewellery, craftsmanship, retail and the evolving aspirations of customers since beginning his journey in 1997
In 2018, he founded Meralda Jewels with a vision to create a jewellery house with a distinctive identity of its own. Under his leadership, the brand has evolved with a strong emphasis on thoughtful design, craftsmanship and a more considered jewellery experience
As Founder & Chairman, he continues to guide Meralda’s long-term vision, balancing the heritage and artistry of jewellery with the ambition to build a contemporary, globally relevant jewellery house.
The Journey
Kozhikode- 2019
Launched the first store in Kozhikode marking Meralda’s entry into Kerala's culturally rich jeweler market
Kochi- 2021
Expanded to Kochi strengthening presence in a key urban market with high aspirational value
Kannur- 2022
Entered Kannur, reinforcing regional coverage and operational consistency in northern Kerala.
Mangalore- 2023
Forayed into Karnataka with the Mangalore Store, marking Meralda’s first Out of- state expansion.
Dubai-2024
International expansion begins with tow stores in Dubai ( Meena Bazar & Al Barsha).

Mr. Mohammed Shanil
Co-Founder & Executive Director, Meralda Jewels
With over two decades of experience in jewellery retail, Shanil brings extensive expertise across retail operations, business development and the jewellery industry. His career began in 2005 with one of the world’s leading jewellery retailers, where he served as a Director for 15 years
In 2018, he joined Abdul Jaleel Edathil in establishing Meralda Jewels, bringing his industry experience and operational expertise to the business
As Co-Founder & Executive Director, he plays a key role in Meralda’s strategic direction and operations, contributing to the development of a distinctive jewellery house built around design, craftsmanship and an elevated customer experience
Jaseel Muhammed Edathil
Managing Director – Meralda International
An MBA graduate from Edinburgh Business School, Jaseel brings a contemporary perspective to Meralda’s business vision, combining an understanding of branding, marketing, finance and strategic management
Since joining the business alongside his father, Abdul Jaleel Edathil, he has played an important role in strengthening Meralda’s identity and supporting its expansion into new markets
As Managing Director of Meralda International, he leads the brand’s international growth, with a focus on the UAE and its broader global ambitions, working towards building Meralda into a distinctive, design-led jewellery house with an international presence
